Day 4:
We left McAlaster, OK at 10:30 with the idea that this was going to be a big outbreak day. We decided to set up in Clarksville, TX because that's where the triple point would be. Once we arrived, we preformed the Navy motto "Hurry up, and wait". We did exactly that in an old abandon Walmart parking lot for about 5 hours. I slept for two....then finished my book, threw Frisbee, and played games for the rest. Storms started blowing up around up, but not in our general area. We're not exactly sure why this happened, but figured the cap was too strong. Around 7:00 we finally went after a cell that was close to Paris, TX. The best gift we got out of that storm was a beautiful lightning show. It took me forever to capture a descent photograph of lightning. Afterwards I discovered I have the shutter option on my camera...so next time I will be ready. At 10:00 we grabbed a late dinner at Applebee's. The food and service was great, especially after such a long day. We quickly called it a night in Paris, TX.
